Abstract
In this paper, a six-phase field-modulated permanent magnet (S-FMPM) motor with fault tolerance is studied. When the one-phase open-circuit fault occurs, the fault-tolerant control strategy with constant magnetomotive force under both healthy and faulty conditions is carried out. Taking the minimum stator copper loss and the neutral point current being 0 as the constraint condition, the Lagrange multiplier method is used to solve the fault-tolerant current of the healthy phase. Finally, the effectiveness of the fault-tolerant control strategy in the motor is verified by simulation and experiment.
