Abstract
This paper proposes a novel multi-coil inductive displacement measurement sensor that can achieve high-precision position calculation. Conventionally, precise adjustment of windings is made to enhance the linearity range of inductive displacement sensor. For the sensor proposed in this paper, the finite element method was used to analyze the dynamic characteristics of the sensor. The results shows that there is a linear region between the induced voltage of the sensing coils and the position of the core. A high precision position calculation method is proposed in this paper. This method solves the problem of nonlinear characteristics affecting measurement accuracy in traditional inductive displacement sensor. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through computer simulation study.
