Abstract
With the development of new energy sources, this paper designs a doubly salient electro-magnetic linear motor suitable for gravity energy storage systems. The motor combines the advantages of switched reluctance motor and biconvex electrically excited motor. The model and operating principle of the motor are described, and the ideal mathematical model of the motor is derived. The equivalent magnetic circuit model of the motor is established, based on which the parametric design method of the motor is investigated. The load characteristics of the motor are investigated by using the joint field-circuit simulation method. The PWM rectifier circuit is used to rectify the current and control the output voltage to a stable 220V DC. It is initially verified that the designed motor is suitable for gravity energy storage system.
