摘要
•The most frequently encountered 2D ultrasound feature in IUA is irregular endometrium, followed by broken endometrial echo, thin endometrium, loss of endometrium echo, hyperechoic focus and fluid in cavity•The intra- and inter-observer agreement of the various USS features of IUA was modestly high•The diagnostic value of individual USS feature in women suspected to have IUA has low sensitivity but high specificity•In women with multiple USS features suggestive of IUA, the likelihood of IUA belonging to a severe category is increased.•The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of ultrasound in the diagnosis of IUA appeared similar regardless of whether it is performed in the mid-proliferative phase, peri-ovulatory phase or midluteal phase.
