•The fully human tissue-derived adhesive materials enable significant suppression of inflammatory cytokine storms, which breaks the limitations of existing strategies for organ repair based on the molecular level.•The UC-derived adhesive materials achieve highly efficient treatment of ALF in rats with 90% hepatectomy.•The human UC-derived adhesive materials have excellent practicability in clinical organ transplantation-related treatment.
