摘要
The amplicon sequencing of the 16 S rRNA gene has increased our understanding on microbial communities in both soils and rhizosphere. However, there is still a gap in our knowledge regarding the community of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) associated with the rhizosphere. To address this gap, we are introducing a comprehensive dataset encompassing known PGPR genera for use in operational taxonomic unit (OTU) and amplicon sequence variant (ASV) tables. The proposed dataset can be utilized to selectively identify PGPR in the rhizosphere and offers a more detailed exploration of the PGPR community. To distinguish PGPR from the core microbiome, specific procedures were outlined, including the use of Microsoft ExcelTM to select PGPR at the genus level. The main advantage is the potential to explore both cultured and uncultured PGPR associated with the rhizosphere, providing meaningful ecological and agricultural insights. However, some limitations can be reported, such as the need for regular updates and challenges in species-level identification. Nevertheless, this dataset presents a valuable resource for advancing our understanding of PGPR dynamics in the rhizosphere.
