Abstract
The zones of stable pulsed generation of dissipative solitons in fiber lasers are determined depending on the magnitude of the second-order dispersion of the resonator and the modulation depth of the saturable absorber. It is established that convergent solutions and stable pulse generation depend on the modulation depth of the saturable absorber in fiber laser resonators with normal dispersion. Taking into account the dependence of the absorption coefficient of a saturable absorber on the pulse duration and radiation energy density made it possible to find regions of divergent solutions where pulse generation is absent due to a decrease in the modulation depth of the saturable absorber with a significant dispersion broadening of the pulse in the resonator.
