摘要
Bionanocomposites, defined as composites derived from biopolymers and nanomaterials, are increasingly explored in the biomedical field. This exploration stems from the observation that integrating biopolymers and nanomaterials into a single platform tunes the constituent's intrinsic properties or synergizes their shared properties for enhanced performance. For instance, incorporating inorganic nanomaterials into biopolymer hydrogels enhances the polymer's mechanical properties and impacts the inorganic materials' unique biological properties on the composite. Consequently, bionanocomposites are now investigated as local drug delivery systems, tissue engineering scaffolds, and wound dressing materials.
