摘要
In the recent years, researchers across the globe has worked collectively and rigorously on the proper management of wound and its healing process by including the various aspects of nanotechnology in it. Though wound healing is a natural process it can be obstructed by previous acute diseases, chronic diseases, or intervention by microbial growth. This chapter deals in strategic management of wound healing and wound management principles. Also, wound healing is generally a complicated process and can be classified as acute or chronic. Due to the infection of wound the antimicrobial dressing especially containing nanomaterials and nanocomposites-based research has seen an uprise. The high surface area to volume ratio of nanomaterials helps not only in fast wound healing but also provide remarkable antimicrobial property. The nanomaterials can be included in scaffolds and dressing materials. Thus, these nanomaterials can provide an optimum environment for wound healing process and management.
