Citrus

This chapter briefly reviews the major virus diseases of citrus and two graft-transmissible diseases that have had viruses associated with them but whose etiology is still uncertain. Included is information on symptomology, host range, methods of transmission, purification and diagnostic techniques, virus particle morphology, and the systematic position of the disease, if known. Eleven viruses having a known etiology are described, as are citrus blight and citrus sudden death as graft-transmissible diseases of citrus that have had a virus associated with them.
