General review of wound closure in neuromodulation cases

As with any surgical procedure, proper wound closure is key in minimizing complications for neuromodulation cases such as spinal cord stimulation. Anatomical concepts pertaining to wound closure are laid out in detail in this chapter. A step-by-step process for various closure techniques associated with neuromodulation procedures is presented. In addition, data related to complications such as erosion and infection are discussed.
