Micro/nanomotors: recent applications

Due to the unique properties of the nanoscale, interest in nanotechnology has been increasing recently. Many nanotechnology-based studies are carried out using these high-potential materials and are used in various applications. One of the most futuristic and original studies among nanotechnological applications is the subject of micro/nanomotors. Micro/nanomotors are small machines that have the ability to move themselves. These intelligent man-made machines have the potential to be easily directed and used successfully in a wide range of fields. Micro/nanomotors can be used especially in medicine, environment, and sensor fields. In this chapter, up-to-date information about micro/nanomotors and examples about today’s applications are given.
