Biochar has attracted great attention recently due to its significant role in solving many environmental challenges. This chapter contains an overview of biochar derived clay composites applications for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissionsGreenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Biochar application is a potential method for reducing GHG emissions through carbon (C) sequestrationCarbon (C) sequestration and nitrous oxide (N2O) mitigationNitrous oxide (N2O) mitigation. Especially, biochar application for the purposes of water and wastewater treatmentWastewater treatments could be regarded as a GHG mitigation technique in recent years. From this perspective, this chapter presented the GHG emission mitigation potential of clay-biochar compositesCLAY-BIOCHAR COMPOSITES. This study mainly concentrated on carbon dioxide (CO2) and N2O emissions reduction using this novel biochar type.
