Pushing up the easy-axis magnetic anisotropy and relaxation times in trigonal prismatic Co^II mononuclear SMMs by molecular structure design

We have demonstrated that the smaller the distortion of the coordination sphere from the ideal trigonal prismatic geometry in mononuclear Co II complexes, the larger the axial anisotropy, the relaxation times and the magnetic hysteresis.
