摘要
In many instances, single unipolar electromagnetic pulse follows a double exponential behavior. Bandwidth requirements for the double exponential pulse measurement need to be estimated to guide the selection of proportional wideband sensors. To this end, measurement procedure is simulated in this article. The sensors are modeled as a cascade of a high-pass and a low-pass filter. The scaled double exponential pulses are set as input. Then, the relationship between the relative error of the shape parameters of the measured pulse and the scaled cutoff frequencies is deduced. Based on the relationship curves, two simple formulas are summarized for the testers on site to estimate the bandwidth requirements according to the prior information about the pulse to be measured. The experimental results are also presented in support of the proposed formulas.
