Abstract
Aims Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomies (PEG) is a well-established method for placing a feeding tubedirectly from the skin of the abdominal wall into the stomach. However, the 30-day mortality rate in the literature is often high. We wanted to investigate in more detail what causes of death the patients had and associated risk factors for mortality within 30 days.
