摘要
In this letter, we present a novel and efficient hybrid method that combines the characteristic basis function method (CBFM) with the asymptotic waveform estimation (AWE) method. The method is specifically designed for the analysis of broadband radar cross-sections involving finite period structures. Initially, CBFM divides the target into several subdomains, constructs the primary characteristic basis function on each subdomain, and constructs the secondary characteristic basis function by considering the interactions between the subdomains to form a matrix equation. By introducing AWE in CBFM, we are able to use the current at a few frequency sampling points to determine the current at any frequency point over the entire frequency band. Numerical results show that the CBFM-AWE method performs well in terms of computational efficiency compared to the conventional method of moments.
