Palladium Complexes of N‐Methylcorroles

Corroles at a looking glass: The inner-core N-methylation of a corrole can afford two monoalkylated regioisomers that are intrinsically chiral. The enantiomeric pairs have been separated by chromatography, and their absolute configuration assigned. The N-alkylation strongly influences the coordination chemistry of the corrole, making possible the preparation of divalent ion complexes, such as PdII. The photophysical properties of N-alkylcorroles are promising for future applications both as photosensitizers and catalysts. More information can be found in the Research Article by R.
