Abstract
In this study, SrWO4-x wt.% Li2MoO4 (x = 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10) ceramics were synthesized at low temperature using the solid-state synthesis method. The effect of Li2MoO4 on the crystallization, activation energy, microstructure and sintering process were discussed in detail. XRD and SEM microstructure analysis and microwave dielectric properties of the ceramics are presented. Li2MoO4 as a flux significantly reduces the sintering temperature of SrWO4 from 1150 degrees C to 875 degrees C and promotes the shrinkage and densification of the ceramic at low temperature. Specifically, the SrWO4 ceramics containing 5 wt% Li2MoO4 sintered at 875 degrees C exhibits the most favorable microwave dielectric properties (Q x f=55567 GHz, er= 7.94 and af = -28.9 ppm/degrees C), demonstrating potential applications in low-temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) field.
