摘要
Intrathecal baclofen (ITB) pump therapy is a mainstay in the treatment of severe or intractable spasticity and dystonia in patients with upper motor syndromes such as stroke, spinal cord injury, and cerebral palsy. While effective, intrathecal pumps present with their own unique complications, most commonly related to catheter dysfunction or breakage [1-4], which requires systematic troubleshooting [5]. Catheter access port (CAP) aspiration is a gold-standard diagnostic test in the protocol to evaluate catheter integrity.
