摘要
The integration of cloud computing and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies generates advantages derived from their complementarities that are capitalized in providing high-performance monitoring services. In healthcare, in the context of demographic aging, the health-monitoring (HM) services have become increasingly important, which require a continuous improvement of adopted approaches. While these services include specific contributions from several specialized providers, in most cases, the medical staff is neither prepared nor available for interaction with all these providers to configure the desired HM service. The paper proposes an approach built around the service offer integrator (SOI) role. Its responsibility is to mix these contributions into an integrated offer, implementing the single-point-of-contact principle in relation to interested medical units. After an overview of specific cloud-IoT-based HM architectural solutions, the paper introduces the generic sensing service scenario, followed by the presentation of the proposed approach in terms of its main roles, their business interactions and the basic service operation rules. To emphasize the SOI specificity, its business model specifications and core entities of its managerial data structure are detailed. Two implementation scenarios of this approach are presented, for medical units with outpatient and institutionalized patient setting, respectively.
