Introduction: The nature of the conflicting vessel(s) is sometimes difficult to specify in patients with hemifacial spasm (HFS). The sign described by the authors is the identification of an artery surrounded by the pons best visualized in axial T1-weighted image with contrast and FIESTA MRI acquisitions.
