Abstract
Significant progress has been made in recent years to reduce the burden of lung cancer worldwide, especially through strategies aimed at reducing tobacco consumption. However, although tobacco consumption is the main risk factor for lung cancer, there are other carcinogens associated with this type of cancer, such as different occupational exposures. However, studies on occupation and lung cancer have mainly been conducted in men and generalized their results to women, even though men and women have different characteristics and occupational exposures.
