Abstract
Electrochemical Ammonia Synthesis The electrochemical reduction of nitrate to ammonia represents a promising pathway towards wastewater remediation, energy storage, and fertilizer production. Shown in the image representing article number 2204236 by Vikas Berry, Joseph A. Gauthier, Meenesh R. Singh, and co-workers, is an illustration of a cobalt nanoparticle (light blue spheres) supported on graphene (gray spheres), which are found to catalyze the electrochemical conversion of nitrate to ammonia with high activity and nearly perfect selectivity.
