Using artificial intelligence technologies to create book illustrations in the professional training of future digital designers

Artificial intelligence technologies are currently at the stage ofpopularity, due to the spread of generative services. It is startingto be widely implemented in all areas of people's lives – frombusiness to education. Artificial intelligence technologies allow togenerate texts, create videos, drive a car, analyze data, etc.Artificial intelligence-based programs have emerged that can beused to generate images. This can relieve digital designers of theroutine work of finding ideas to create their own illustrations forprint or online publications. In view of these trends, the articleanalyses the capabilities of modern Internet image generationservices, the peculiarities of creating queries for high-qualityimage generation, the results of image generation by means ofartificial intelligence, the use of the results of generative artificialintelligence for illustrating a children's book, and the application ofartificial intelligence in the professional training of future digitaldesign specialists. A conclusion was made about the mainfeatures of image generation tasks in various Internet services(Hotpot, Stable Diffusion, Craiyon, Cutout, Midjourney) and theresults of image generation by these Internet services wereanalyzed. The expediency of using generative artificialintelligence services in the professional training of future digitaldesigners is noted in order to apply them in future professionaldigital design activities, teaching them to correctly formulatequeries for image generation services and providing support andtools for designers to work with artificial intelligence-basedservices.
