Cover Feature: The role of dimers in complex forming reactions at low temperature: full dimension potential and dynamics of (H₂CO)₂+OH reaction (ChemPhysChem 15/2023)

The Cover Feature shows the (H2CO)2 dimer interacting with OH. The reactive rate constants at low temperature are measured in laval expansion experiments (bottom picture). The reaction rate constants show a fast increase below 100°K, temperatures of astrochemical interest. The formation of reactant dimers has been proposed as an explanation of this behavior.
