Abstract
In the paper a smart data logger collecting samples of ECG signal is considered. It smartly replaces raw data files with structured sets of aggregated information with annotations, already at the stage of data acquisition. The smartness consists in adaptive and selective processing of the collected data. Adaptability comes down to the parameterized operation of algorithms, especially in noise reduction and non-deterministic disturbances detection. At the same time, selectivity focuses on extracting QRS complexes and annotating atrial fibrillation episodes. In the paper a streaming and multi-thread processing of sampled data, lossless data compression, noise and deterministic disturbances filtering techniques are discussed.
