Lisinopril has been studied in a wide spectrum of patient populations with arterial hypertension, high cardiovascular disease risk, obesity, elderly, in the acute phase of myocardial infarction, chronic heart failure, diabetes, diabetic kidney disease, and diabetic retinopathy. In all those studies, lisinopril was shown not only to help to lower blood pressure but also to positively affect target organ damage and present with a very good safety profile.
