Luminescent radicals are gathering constant attention as a new class of luminescent materials due to the ground and excited state doublet character. In their Research Article (e202302550), Ken Albrecht and co-workers report a carbazole dendronized luminescent tris(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)methyl (TTM) radical. Dendron modification increases the photostability and photoluminescence quantum yield up to 63 % in cyclohexane. The image shows the red luminescent raspberry (TTM radical) protected from sunshine by the raspberry bush (dendron).
