Abstract
Introduction: Canine total hip arthroplasty has been widely used to treat severe hip dysfunction. The Canal Flare Index (CFI) is a measure that helps choosing the appropriate surgical technique once it is an indirect predictor of the anatomical characteristics of the proximal femur. Radiographic positioning can influence the calculation of the CFI. Our aim was to evaluate the effect of femur inclination in relation to the radiographic cassette in canal flare index measurement in dogs.
