Chemical Constituents of Notoseris psilolepis

From methanolic extracts of the whole plant of Notoseris psilolepis Shih, three new compounds were isolated by repeated column chromatography on normal as well as reversed phase silica gel. Their structures were elucidated as 4, 6-O-di-p-hydroxylphenylacetyl-D-glucose, 3, 6-O-di-p-hydroxylphenylacetyl-D-glucose and 6-O-p-hydroxylphenylacetyl-D-glucose based on spectral evidence. Together with the new compounds, nine known ones were also isolated and identified as scorzoside, austricin, lactuside B, jacquilenin, crepidiaside A, crepidiaside B, notoserolide A, 6,7-dihydroxycoumarin and cichoriin, respectively.
