Adsorption of tungsten(vi) on modified montmorillonite

The aim of the work was to find conditions for the most adsorption of tungsten by a composite sorbent based on montmorillonite. It is shown that montmorillonite modified by magnetite particles adsorbs up to 99 % of tungsten from 10 mg/l W(VI) solution. The maximum difference in adsorption of W(VI) and Mo(VI) on the initial montmorillonite in an acetate buffer medium at pH = 5,4 was bserved. Desorption of tungsten from the surface of montmorillonite was 98 %.
