Abstract
This study aims to conduct a basic investigation into the establishment of continuous palliative care education for general nurses involved in providing care for patients with intractable cancer. From the time of diagnosis to the time of death, nurses play the role of total care coordinators in the intractable cancer patients’ recuperation life. However, in Japan, most general nurses dealing with such patients use their personal time to acquire new knowledge and skill set.
