摘要
The inside cover picture illustrates that the stepwise reduction of Hajos-Parrish ketone (HPK) by ene-reductase (ERED)/ketoreductase (KRED) and KRED/ERED cascade. In this study, the authors discovered an ERED and engineered it as (S)-stereopreferred enzymes, so that it could be used for kinetic resolution and cascade reduction of HPK and Wieland-Miescher ketone. Details can be found in the research article by Dongyan Li, He Dong and co-workers. (D. Li, H. Dong, X. Chen, Y. Li, Y. Xu, J. Wang, J. Fang, C. Huang, W. Zhang, X. Jia, S. You, B. Qin, Adv. Synth.
