Analysis of the chain mediation effect between intergenerational support and mental health of older adults in urban China: a structural equation model

This study aimed investigate the impact of intergenerational support on the mental health of older adults in urban China. It also sought to evaluate the chain mediation effect of attitudes toward younger people and willingness to interact with younger people within a non-familial context between intergenerational support and mental health. Data were derived from a community survey that adopted quota sampling in mainland China in 2022 (N = 780).
