摘要
The increase of insecticide resistance in pests, especially in Myzus persicae, leads to a decrease in the efficiency of the regulation mechanisms previously used in agriculture. This effect, combined with the progressive withdrawal of authorized phytosanitary products, shows the need for a paradigm shift in the design of new agrosystems. The development of these new systems is based on alternative strategies using multiple solutions. Companion plants (CP) fit perfectly into this framework of development of new control strategies against Myzus persicae, inducing effects that can be grouped into two main categories: direct and indirect. The first type can act on the detection and attractiveness of the crop, by diverting the pest from areas of economic interest to trap crops, or by limiting its movement in the economic crops. A disruption of the development cycle or a decrease in virus transmission can also be induced by CP. Indirect effects act through intermediaries to regulate this pest, notably by attracting natural enemies and their perpetuation in the crops, or by modifying the metabolism of the crop plant. Although some limitations are still present and require more studies to reduce the variability of the observed responses, CP and the products derived from them are one of the promising tools, opening new possibilities for the management of this pest. Research on the integration of all these tools and the potentiation of their combined effects seems particularly promising to overcome individual limitations and constraints and to obtain a more constant efficiency in the crops.
