Synthesis of Fluorides

The synthesis of organofluorine compounds is one of the most important issues in chemistry because organofluorines play vital roles in medicinal, agrochemical and material sciences due to the unique and beneficial properties of a fluorine atom. This chapter summarizes the progress in the synthesis of organic fluorides involving a formation of new carbon–fluorine bond during the period from 2014 to 2022. The sections in this chapter are subdivided according to the type of organic fluorides, where alkyl fluorides, acyl fluorides, alkenyl fluorides, (hetero)aryl fluorides, and 18F-fluorinated compounds are covered.
