Abstract
In order to meet the demand for oil and gas, wells with different functions are increasing sharply, causing underground space to be “crowded”. Therefore, it is important to detect azimuth information between existing underground wells and drilling wells, where well spacing is the most critical. If the well spacing cannot be accurately determined, it will cause serious drilling accidents. Traditional detection methods are not good at well spacing because the induced currents of the target wells are considered consistent. Therefore, in order to avoid the use of induced current to calculate well spacing, a new calculation method for buried pipeline detection is introduced, and the geometric relationship between the induced magnetic field and the three components of the receiver is used to calculate the well spacing. Finally, a new method is used to solve the well spacing through different simulation models. The results show that the calculation accuracy of well spacing can reach about 99%, and the calculation accuracy can be improved by avoiding induced current to solve well spacing.
