Abstract
Ionizable Lipid Nanoparticles Lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems are currently the leading nonviral delivery systems for enabling the clinical potential of mRNA drugs. Ionizable lipid is the critical component of lipid nanoparticles. In article 2202590 by Gengshen Song, Jing Yang, Shengqi Wang, and co-workers, a novel ionizable lipid YK009 is designed and developed for LNP formulation. The YK009-LNP shows high mRNA delivery efficacy and good safety. An mRNA vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant delivered by YK009-LNP can trigger a robust immune response against this viral infection.
