Facial expressions are a type of emotion expressed by humans to convey different meanings in different contexts. And it is also a non verbal way of communication. Due to the rigorous development in the area of Face detection and emotion classification, many applications like real time health monitoring system, living assistance system, surveillance systems, access control systems and many more are using this technology. As mouth and eye are the parts that are mainly focused for emotion detection, extracting the gestures and categorizing them are very crucial task. Using Machine Learning and Neural network concepts, good results are obtained in emotion detection and categorization. So, in this paper we have combined the Facial Key-point Detection and Emotion Detection models together to get a better Emotion Classification model.
