摘要
Beside peak and volume, the shape of the hydrograph is an important characteristic of a flood event. As the timescale is a dimension for the spread of the hydrograph, it is logical to also use flood types thus derived to differentiate between typical hydrographs and to consider these differences in a type-specific hydrograph. The model of Chap. 5 is thus further extended to such a type-specific generation of flood hydrographs. Different probability density functions are applied and the challenges of generating type-specific hydrographs are outlined. The resulting flood hydrographs are then assigned with a given probability, such that flood scenarios based on ensembles of hydrographs are obtained. These scenarios can improve the planning of flood retention facilities due to in-depth knowledge on the shape of the flood hydrograph.
