摘要
Bioleaching is an easy practice for the recovery of metal particles from E-waste, with the help of microbes including bacteria, fungi, and actinomycetes. Bioleaching is considered as small power-consuming, greatly competent, ecologically pleasant, and a short operational expenditure process that can be passed out at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Bioleaching of E-waste has expanded much consideration due to its scientific development in provisions of sustainability and as transitional technologies particularly in developed countries. This chapter assesses the application of bioleaching in E-waste. The techniques that deal with resource recovery, the challenges, and future research needs are also discussed.
