Motion correction
Advances in magnetic resonance technology and applications(2023)
摘要
Subject motion can be a severe issue for MRI in general and ultra-high field MR specifically. For accurate MR images in 2D or 3D, there is a need for stability in data sampling over the complete scanning time. Motion occurring during data collection causes inconsistencies in the acquired data and leads to various image artifacts, such as blurring or ghosting. At ultra-high field, more issues arise as higher-resolution scans put a more stringent demand on the amount of motion that can occur without image quality penalties. Also, high-resolution scans last longer, increasing the chance of motion occurring during a scan. In this chapter, motion correction approaches will be discussed with a specific focus on ultra-high field neuroapplications.
