Practical considerations on ultra-high field safety

After a general introduction of the MRI system, standards, and guidelines, technical differences between 3T and 7T MRI systems are discussed. Practical suggestions will help the reader to minimize potential safety hazards that may arise from all components of an MRI system. Safety supervision and risk assessment are therefore central themes of this chapter.
