La prise en charge du cancer colorectal

La prise en charge du cancer colorectal à un stade précoce, grâce à la chirurgie, et si nécessaire la radiothérapie et/ou un traitement médicamenteux, permet de garantir un bon pronostic, d’où l’intérêt d’un dépistage précoce. À un stade avancé, notamment métastatique, le recours à une stratégie majoritairement médicamenteuse est inévitable. Les principaux anticancéreux applicables sont les cytotoxiques, dont les fluoropyrimidines, et des thérapies ciblées inhibant principalement la voie EGFR/RAS/B-RAF ou l’angiogenèse. Early management of colorectal cancer, through surgery and, if necessary, radiotherapy and/or drug treatment, guarantees a good prognosis, hence the importance of early detection. At an advanced stage, particularly metastatic, the use of a predominantly drug-based strategy is inevitable. The main anti-cancer drugs that can be used are cytotoxics, including fluoropyrimidines, and targeted therapies that mainly inhibit the EGFR/RAS/B-RAF pathway or angiogenesis.
