Integumentary system

: The chapter reviews the normal histology and cytopathologic assessment of the integumentary system. The integumentary system involves the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous layers of skin plus hair, nails, and the cutaneous adnexal glands. Description and interpretation of normal cytology, cytopathologic changes involving responses to tissue injury, non-neoplastic tumors, inflammation and infection, and neoplastic tumors are emphasized.
