摘要
It is critical to better understand the experiences of diverse and under-represented populations across the lung cancer spectrum. For example, the US state of Alabama has higher than average rates of smoking and lung cancer incidence/mortality. Alabama also has higher than average African American/Black populations, which are disproportionately at risk for lung cancer. The state also has large, often under-resourced rural areas that tend toward lower socioeconomic status. Rural residents face barriers in accessing quality healthcare and often have limited access to broadband internet.
