BPI-7711 is a novel, irreversible, third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) that is highly selective for EGFR-sensitizing mutations as well as EGFR T790M mutation. Despite EGFR-TKIs having achieved good efficacy in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), patients inevitably develop resistance. This study aims to investigate the resistance mechanism of third-generation EGFR-TKI BPI-7711 and find potential new approaches to counteract resistance.
