Although the expected survival is low in the presence of positive metastatic mediastinal lymph node (MLN) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), multimodal treatment gives a glimmer of hope for these patients. There is no ideal clinical staging method, neither noninvasive nor invasive, that provides high accuracy levels in a short time period to detect metastatic MLN, which has a significant impact on the treatment plan. The aim of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic performance of radiomics, an artificial intelligence program, by using computed tomography images in order to reveal the presence of metastasis in MLNs.
