A Three-Dimensional Computed Tomography Analysis of Residual Lung Volume Changes after Segmentectomy for Non-small-Cell Lung Cancer

After lobectomy, the residual cavity is filled by mediastinal and diaphragmatic deviation and compensatory volume changes in the residual lungs. Based on the results of JCOG0802, the number of cases of segmentectomy for early-stage lung cancer is increasing. In the present study, we analyzed three-dimensional computed tomography (3D-CT) data to examine the volume changes in the lung before and after segmentectomy.
